TV Series Marathon

Well we finished Flash Forward a few weeks ago and have moved onto Lost. Hooray for netflix lol

Does anyone else do marathons of ended series? We also like to watch Weeds, House and Army Wives but being they are still on the air can't do much with that on Netflix.

I don't own any tv series or belong to Netflix, but I've done movie marathons.  When I got the third Lord of hte Rings, 4-disc, dvd set I watched all three movies on consecutive nights, then started on the special features and all four commentaries.  Whew!  Recently I did the three X-Men movies in one night  and before that I did Men In Black I & II back to back.

We've been watching Two and a Half Men, Ghost Adventures and 30 Rock. I love instant streaming on Netflix! (But so does everyone else, we have a lot of problems with it being slow or not working well).

Lost and west wing are usually the ones we do marathons for. We will also watch the star wars movies back to back.

I'm watching Meerkat Manor.  Heard a lot about that show, and know I know why.  Didn't think a show about a bunch of small weasel-like mammals would be this interesting.  I'm hoping to see if they have the most recent Torchwood and Dr. Who seasons/specials as I haven't been able to watch them since they moved off SyFy to BBC America.  I also have Kidnapped and Dark Angel in my queue.  May need to add Futurama as well if available.

I've done marathons of Criminal Minds, NCIS and 3rd Rock from the Sun. But most recently I've been trying to get caught up on Dr. Who.

Monk, Psych, NCIS, Daniel Boone, Gunsmoke, Have Gun Will Travel, Wanted: Dead or Alive, Pink Panther series, Tarzan, Bat Masterson, ...........  We have quite a DVD collection ~ not much on TV to watch.

I didn't get to watch The Kennedy's miniseries as I worked the days it aired so I think we're going to do that next but I may have to talk my fiancee into Dr. Who I keep hearing that I need to try it out

We ben watching family guy on netflix. I sure do love having netflix and it's cheap.

Since I got netflix ive watched the entire BTVS series.  Also: That 70's show, which I hadnt watched at all while on the air. Umm, Weeds season 1-5.  The series about the people climbing Everest.  Usually dont do reality tv but that was awesome IMO. 

Not on Netflix but I'm currently plowing through my Charmed seasons that I have on DVD. HAve also been through Angel, House 1-5, Sex in the city.

Oh yeah Netflix is great for TV series! We watched Heroes, Jerricho, got caught up on House, and I love watching the old episodes of Law and Order: SVU and Glee. I love being able to watch shows in order without having to wait a week at a time.

Serialized shows, like Lost, almost need to be watched in marathons, or many at a time.  That was one of the big gripes about the show when it was on, in regards to ABC's scheduling of it.  There were several hiatuses, some two-three week breaks, and repeats thrown in the first few seasons.  It really mucked up the flow of the show.  They learned their lesson and ran it straight through without breaks the last few seasons, having it not premiere until late January/early February and running through May.  It made the viewing easier and more enjoyable.
