You've gotta have a couple of beers before you solve the meaning of the following palindromes: "Dad was I & I saw dad" or "Mom was I & I saw mom"
OK, you really don't need to have a couple of beers, I just thought it might be fun to crack open a bottle or two. The palindromes dad was I & I saw dad and mom was I & I saw mom are actually quite simple: Just imagine you, as a dad or mom, were gazing into the mirror last night.
Numbers are fun too: if you were born 20 years ago, your birthday is a palindrome: 1991.
Of course the examples I gave are simple in the palindrome world. According to the English for Students website, the longest palindrome ever written has over 15,000 words: http://www.english-for-students.com/Longest-Palindrome.html
Ready for that beer yet?
Great post. If you look back at page 1, I came up with this topic. Apparently, it's a little too cerebral for some.
Tell you what. I'll split a six-pack of the beer of your choice with you! Thanks for the great feedback!
