Google Chrome
« on: May 08, 2011, 07:47:11 pm »
Has anyone else used Google Chrome here in Fusion Cash?  I've noticed that it's faster than Firefox and IE 8.

Seriously, it runs like a bat out of hell.  lol

Do things credit easier in Chrome, than they do in IE and Firefox?

You are SO right! I just downloaded it yesterday because I saw it was mentioned on here somewhere. I must admit it is so much faster than other browsers I've used, I just love it ;D

I use Google Chrome, Firefox, and Internet Explorer. I'm not sure which one works best though on this site.

I am a big fan of of Chrome and refuse to use any other search engine. Not only is it fast but it also allows you to do multiple tasks at once. The only two drawbacks I've found so far are that tool bars slow it down and the more tasks you do the faster the adobe flash crashes. Other than that Chrome RULES!

It is faster, but there still are several things I don't like about it.

The SolveMedia Captcha sometimes comes up blank.
The toolbar does slow it down some.
The FULL URL does not show at the top URL bar.
Norton's Safe Search doesn't work with it.
Auto fill in during Google Search is aggravating and annoying.  Doesn't happen in Firefox.
Right click, copy and paste doesn't always work.
Getting the exact properties of an image is a PITA.

It could still use some more work.

I like Chrome sometimes but I still use Firefox more. I hate how you can't disable Adblock on specific sites, instead you have to disable the whole thing, which is irritating for a multi-tasker like me. I keep it disabled for Fusioncash and their sponsors but when I visit other sites the flash on their advertisements make my computer freeze.

Also I don't have a lot of memory on my computer, so Chrome is a nightmare sometimes. The "these pages aren't responding" box comes up and asks me to kill the pages, and I keep having to pressing WAIT because Chrome is so impatient. And the pages turn white a lot and I can't scroll through them. It's a lot more loading than Firefox which only freezes for me occasionally when I'm trying to do to many things at once. Also that little status bar thing at the bottom that comes up and then disappears continuously drives me nuts. Also it floods my task manager with all these different Chrome.exe processes running. If all those problems were gone for me, I would love Chrome more than Firefox.

Also I've had a few times that I didn't get credited on Chrome and it scarred me forever.

Thanks for the input.  Firefox is totally non functional for me most of the time now.  I feel like it's actually dying sometimes.  When it freezes and doesn't UNfreeze, then rebooting it takes 15 reboots before it will stop freezing period.

I'm just so ready to hurl this POS PC and get me a MAC.  They say, once you go MAC, you don't go back.  lol

Yes I agree. Firefox has it's problems too! But I think it can boil down to how good your computer is. Then you only have to deal with small issues with Internet browsers. I'm ready to get a Mac too. They sound really great...
