I drive the speed limit, get as many errands done on the side of town I'm visiting as I can in one trip, and drive as little as possible.

When I go get groceries I stock up now instead of going every few days. I walk more which is good for exercise. No more taking off when the light changes green. Less wear and tear on vehicle. Get all my errands done on one trip.

Don't speed, keep up the maintenance on your car, keep your tires properly inflated, plan out your grocery stops or errands so you can do them all in one trip.

      You are lucky you get a rebate. I gave up my auto a long time ago because it was to expensive to run. I use public transportation now.

 :sad1:I Keep my eye out for when a supermarket in our area offers a ten$ coupon off a $50 gas card which they do every so often, when they do that then I try to stretch any money I have to buy as many cards as I can.  (For anyone who has a Publix Supermarket in their area keep your eye out for this).  I usually can eek out at least 2 which is $20 worth of free gas
