Toddlers
« on: March 23, 2011, 07:50:32 pm »
I have a 2 year old nephew, and as a toddler, he is currently in my absolute favorite stage of babyhood.  Just a few minutes ago, he got his hands on my sister's phone, and managed to call me.  We engaged in a lively, enlightening conversation (where he babbled incoherently about whatever was on his mind, and I made appropriate noises of encouragement).  It was after a couple minutes of this, that my sister found him and managed to convince him to let me get off the phone (she told him it was my bedtime).

I suppose the point of this is:  I adore toddlers.  They are so precious!  Anyone else have cute toddler stories?

I have a 17 month old son. He does the silliest things. So many really that of course I can not think of any right now. But just a few hours ago we were headed out to the store and walking out of my bedroom he stops by his daddys work shoes (daddy went to the gym already) squatted and went to reach for them. I stood there thinking oh lord here he goes wanting to put daddys shoes on and play daddy again. BUT nope...he pulled out one of his nunies (pacifiers) then right into his mouth. GROSS! I then realized that he must have planted it in there when I found out he climed on the sofa and grabbed every signle nunie in the nunie bowl and hide them (AGAIN!). We are trying to break him of it so we do not allow them to be all over. Looks like mommy and daddy will have to put the bowl on top of the fridge AFTER we find all the nunies (which are about 6, he likes to switch them out, kind of like the cool side of the pillow).

It's a great time. I think 3 or 4 was probably my favorite age with my son. He was so sweet and agreeable. Past the terrible 2s and the No stage, and before the know it all stage , which apparently lasts until adulthood  ::)

My favorite age is between 1-2.  My son is 2.  One of my favorite things he is saying right now, is "I tell you about it!"  I say, ok, tell me about it.  Then I may or may not understand the rest the of the conversation.

I agree with you wholeheartedly toddlers are most fun to play with at this stage of childhood. :binkybaby: Toddler years are cuteness at their peak. :) They are openly funny and pure, they are eager to explore, learn new things, and to put into practice of what they learned.  ;)

Toddlers are so much fun, to watch the wonder on their litle faces as they learn new things.
