Dancing with the stars

Do you watch dancing with the stars?  do you think it's for real?  What I mean is do you really think the viewing public really chose the winner?  Tell me?

I never watched it until my fiances mom made me watch it. Now i try and watch it every week. lol

Dancing With The Stars works similar to the other voting shows.  With this one, it's not 100% audience vote - but half from the audience, and half from the judge's scores.

From what I've seen, the judge's scores probably weigh more in the outcome in the earlier rounds, but typically by the semi-finals and finals - if the contestants are fairly evenly matched - the judges typically score each couple within a couple points of one another - so the user votes count more to who ultimately wins.


I'm liking this season so far - none of the celebrities appear to be shoe-ins to win.  Yes, there are several with more natural raw talent compared with others who could always kick it in gear in a few weeks - but no one that's a half step away from professional like we've seen the past few seasons.  Should be a good contest this round.

I wasn't going to watch it this year because most of the "stars" are people I've never heard of.  But, I watched the first one and was hooked....I couldn't believe Kirstie was so light on her feet.
