Intel Science Contest
« on: March 25, 2011, 11:00:08 am »
Just watched a CNN report on a national science and math contest for schoolchildren across the country. The winner was a young man who compared two methods of approximating the square root of a number and he explained why one method was superior over the other. If I had been in the contest, I would have written a paper on how to build a website called "GEOMETRY FOR SQUARES" as a hook to get young people fired up about mathematics!  8)
