Upon finding nothing, said Mrs. Delma Jackson, Miguel's wife, the officers accused Mr. Jackson of having “something.” Mr. Jackson was pepper sprayed, handcuffed and beaten repeatedly with hammers resulting in a fractured nose and 50 stitches to his face, said Mrs. Jackson. Guards also attempted to throw him over the railing from the second floor......."

His wife needs to contact the CEO for the State Prison and tell them she fears for his life, and it sounds like she should. something will be done when the official at the top knows. He does not want that happening on his watch. Also contact Senators & Representatives.

The penal system is all commercialized now so yes....you were a number....with a dollar sign prefacing it. Yet another instance of capitalism corrupting morals and people trading honor for dollars due to egotism.

Egotism ahs nothing to do with it. Power is the issue. From the little to the highest rank there is all about how much power one has from the other not caring that the person you f*** up is a victim of ur game.

If they didn't have a huge ego then they would feel no need to have power over another individual.

I honestly believe if you dig deeper, down to the root causes, egotism will be revealed as the biggest motivator for most if not all of the social ills we are all victims of at this time.

what does this mean? read the article? I did read it
I have been in prison ministry for 15+ years, know many guards, x guards, etc.
if the wife wants to take steps to stop the abuse, she needs to contract
those who can and will if they know about it.

Prison system has nothing to do with Capitalism it is Socialism
where one man walks over another for the sake of his ego usually.
it is a cash cow where those in control make all the money while the workers on the ground
barely make a living and are usually forced to mistreat those they are paid to guard.

Capitalism is someone who runs a business to make money, but treats people fairly and
in return makes a good return.
there is nothing fair about most prisons.
unless the Warden is a decent person then the prison will run smoothly, otherwise
it is run by out laws that need to spend a little time inside the prison walls.

Wow,one of us a really distorted understanding of capitalism and socialism.

If the penal system was in any way socialist inmates would not be paying for their health and other care.

If the business end was not capitalist in nature then the prison system would not be becoming privatized.

All business owners I know, including myself as the past owner of several successful businesses, are first concerned with whether the venture is showing maximum profits or not.

If the company can realize maximum profits and still be fair and caring of the employees then wonderful, however, that concern is very low down on the list of priorities.

This is one of the major reasons why I became very anti-capitalist.

I could go on to make the case of capitalism=ego, but I can see in your gullibility you would never be able to wrap your head around it.
