does anyone use skype?  I just got signed up so I can "see" my grandson while my son & his family are traveling all summer but still not sure how to find people I know.  It is very cool though because my niece and her husband who is in Iraq are able to talk everyday.

Yes, it is amazing and it is free.  That is how I communicate and network to get referrals and make friends with other people who earn online.  I have great friends who are very helpful and you can also create groups and have conversations among many people.  The other day I mentioned that I was looking for a used breadmaker and my dear friend, Kay, said she had one she wanted to get rid of.  She sent it to me to give to my dad and he was thrilled.  Seems today that kind people are rare, but I have found a lot of them on Skype.

I use Skype all the time too!

To find people, type their name in the contact spot.  Skype will do a search.

It helps if you know their email address.

You can always invite your friends and family to get Skype.  It is free.

I also talked to my son using Skype while he was stationed in Kuwait.  And I visit with samrhett2 and others on Skype in our other online money ventures.

to search for people  on skype click new on the top left then add a contact. Then enter the name or email  and click find. When you find them click on the name to add them to your contacts and type them a message.
Hope this helps Enjoy skype

I originally got Skype so I could talk to my grandson while he was in Iraq  but it's turned out to be so much more.  I now have friends all over & we have a lot of fun online - I wouldn't trade it for anything.  (2 of my buddies are here in this thread  )

Skype has been a major key to making money online for me and I have it on all the time if I'm there or not. It's the best secretary I have ever hand and it's free. Most people think you can't carry on a conversation unless you are both there, but it keeps track of it for a YEAR and doesn't get thrown into any spam filters like email often does. You can also multi-task by talking to several friends at once and you don't need to use the voice or video at all. If you have problems to solve, you can share your desktop and show exactly what you want to explain. You can send files back and forth to each other with ease. I can't imagine working online without Skype.

I have skype but, I only have 2 contacts and oldbuddy is one of them. I would use skype even more if I had more contacts. I'm trying to move away from using yahoo messenger and MSN messenger too. I just want skype to be my way to keep in touch with family and friends.
