Paypal Cashout
« on: January 11, 2011, 02:27:29 pm »
I think it's kinda BS that your paypal has to be "Verified" to cashout.

Can anyone elaborate on WHY it has to be verified? Because at the moment, i'm confused and a little angry that I can't cashout after all those surveys...

so they know its a real account and its really yours. paypal can be used to to send and recieve money its paypals policy too. its for safety reasons -and to make sure they send your money to the right person I dont understand why you would be upset about precautions taken.specially when there is money and personal information involved

If it's such a big deal that your paypal account has to be verified, then have them send a check instead.

Yeah, that's what I did...

But, i mean, i would have rather had it sent straight to Paypal, verified or not...

I was just wondering how would I make a paypal account. How much quicker is it than direct deposit? Is it better than direct deposit or is it the same thing? ???

So if/when requesting a paypal payout, it's deposited into your account by the 20th of the next month?  IE...request for payout end of January, deposit made on 20th of February?

Yes :) With paypal, it's there by that day (or earlier), but with other modes of payment, I think you have to wait a couple of days to get your payment.

@diamantinajimenez I created by paypal account a long time ago, but I think all you have to do is go to their website and then follow the instructions. I think with direct deposit, there is a time delay between when your payment gets approved and when it shows up in your bank account. Direct deposit, your money goes directly to your bank account; but with paypal, it goes to your paypal acct and then you can choose to transfer it to your bank account or not. If you don't like that extra step or you don't buy many things online, maybe you will like direct deposit more. Personally, I like paypal better b/c it's faster and I buy a lot of things online.

No, if you go with paypal, it's a 2 day longer wait... so... (request at the end of January, it's approved February 20th, and is deposited to Paypal on the 22nd)

oh, I stand corrected then. It's always been there by the 20th or earlier for me *shrugs*

Pay pal payments are there on the day (20th) unles is a weekend, and you can choose to transfer the amount to your bank or use the debit crad they give you to buy stuff, I really think is the best way.  As for verification they just want to make sure it belongs to you.
