I just bought the new  fabric softener crystals by Purex. I bought the tropical splash and love it. You don't need to wait for the rinse cycle or mess with the blue ball, you just add it at the start of your wash cycle with your laundry soap. Fabulous!

This sounds good.  I do not mind messing with the ball but if this is easier I am all for it. I hated waiting for the cycle to be over to throw it in.

i don't even bother with fabric softener to begin with. i wash everything in cold water with a free and clear natural detergent and then i use 2 bounce febreeze dryers sheets in the dryer and my clothes are soft and static free without the time or money spent on softener. then again, my mom insists that this is only because of the filtration system that is set up on our house, that anywhere else our clothes would feel like steel wool :)
