I live in New York so I really can't help you there.  But I'll tell you this, the only thing you can find out here for under $500 is renting a room.  So good luck in finding an entire apartment.

Yeah, there is not much of a option for us low income people. I would like to stay here until I get enough money for some land or a home. I guess, I might have to leave sooner than I expected.

we had the gas workers move in to our area and theyre killing us locals. the apartment owners and landlords have jacked up the prices so high that us normal wage making folks cant afford to live there anymore.

we have room mate and he is just coming here atleast twice a month lol, we loved it! we charge him $700 before but now only $500, he have his own bathroom, can use the pool and  spa, have his own tv, internet is included, etc. Actually we are pretty lucky he is not here all the time, we have income coming in every month atleast $500. You cannot beat that.

I lived in Pullman, WA and my first place was a two bedroom for $395. But its a college town surrounded by farm land so not much for entertainment.

It's a good thing you don't live in California.  $500 might rent you a hallway for a month.  Is that a picture of your dog?  a lot of Landlords won't rent to people with medium to large dogs.  Some will rent to those with a cat, and some won't rent to someone with even a fish.

You may have to move to another state if you don't want to live with your mom again.  There's nothing wrong with moving back home with mom.  It's not moving backward.  In this economy a lot of people are having to improvise to survive.  That's how you have to look at it.  At this point renting a room is your best option.  Renting a room in someone's house can be really great, or a disaster.  Be cautious, you don't want to be in a worse situation that your in already.

Do you mind if I ask why you are losing your SSI?  Usually they don't take that back without good reason.  My thoughts and prayers are with you.

I don't have a clue why they wanna take my SSI. Maybe, its because I'm a adult now and they don't think I need it anymore. They were planning to take it away when I was 18 and I'm now 24yrs old. I can't even get a lawyer to help me because Social Security wouldn't give them much money. I went to a Mental Health place yesterday and they said that they will help me. So, I guess we will see what will happen now.
