A Lost One For Christmas
« on: December 12, 2010, 03:11:52 pm »
Christmas has been hard for me since I was 18 years old.Lost to Cancer Its just so happen to be my grand mothers( MawMaw) birthday! I miss her everyday but I tend to miss here more around the holidays . And she would hate that me moping about her, but I just can't seem to stop thinking how would love for her to see who i have grown to be. I wouldn't be who I was without her of course ,but i mean with out her wisdom . Sometimes I just wish that I was a lil girl again and could crawl up in her lap (instead of Santa's) and she would go over what Christmas meant to her. And of course she couldn't stand the fact that  her birthday was on Christmas so everybody made sure to say their  Happy Birthdays often.

the holidays never seem as merry or bright without
the loved ones who have passed on. we know that
they'd want us celebrating their life, and we do, but
we can't help but miss them so much it hurts. especially
throughout the holidays...

i feel your pain, sarah_hollock. my mother passed
away in 2006 and i can't help but think of all the things
she's missing. all the conversations we're not having.
all the things i want to show her, but can't.

somehow -- and this may just be me trying to make myself
feel better -- but i feel like she knows. i feel her sometimes,
if you know what i mean.

[ we all have a place in history. mine is in the clouds. ]

It hard to lose someone no matter when it happens and the holiday are the worst but thinking of them at hoilday also makes you a stonger person
