Evolution
« on: November 01, 2010, 10:37:34 am »
I've noticed something about the world around us. everything is constantly evolving. think about it. several species of animals are rapidly gaining intelligent abilities. like dolphins and monkeys, etc. is it possible that maybe humans are the result of evolution and everything else is just catching up? for example. monkeys/other apes can use sign language and recognize it without just memorizing. dolphins are also know to be able to interact with humans. So my theory is this: over time every creature on this earth will one day become an intelligent species. My question is: why did humans become intelligent in the first place? Maybe because that's our only defense mechanism. we don't have any natural defense (only with intelligence could we develop weapons, etc.), yet with intelligence, we can conquer any animal on the planet. The second question is: why are animals around us getting intelligent as well?

Good plausible theory.  However- one must take into account the number of vanishing species versus those that have been andhave yet to be discovered.  Humans rule this planet....for now....
