FC Members who get in trouble logging in
« on: August 22, 2010, 08:21:57 am »
I am of the impression (correct me if I am wrong) that we are only allowed to log in to FC and complete offers using the same computer and ISP that we first signed up from.  In the forum, I read that some members try to log in later from other computers and find themselves in hot water.   Why does FC have this rule?  I am with other sites similar to FC and none of my other sites have a rule like this.  I can log in and do my things from other computers.   :dontknow:

I believe the rule is if the other computers IP address is a memeber of FC too. two people with the same IP adress is against the rules. i could be wrong but thats how i think it is.  I have logged on from other computers with no proplems.

I log in from 2 different computers and don't have a problem But if there were 2 people logging in from one ISP then there would be a problem.
That which can be asserted without evidence, can be dismissed without evidence.

You can't reason someone out of a position they didn't reason themselves into in the first place.

you can log in anywhere and use any IP. You just can't have two accounts on one IP address.

That's not true. The Terms of Service states that you can only log in from your own, personal computer--not a public one.  They are trying to make sure that people do not create multiple accounts on different IP addresses. A lot of people get into trouble for not completely reading the Terms of Service!

Here's a quote from the Fusion Cash Terms of Service Agreement (you can find it under section A. Membership Requirements/vi.):

Users must log in and use FusionCash on their own personal computer and internet connection only. The use of a FusionCash account on a public or shared computer, or public internet connection is grounds for disqualification. You may not access your FusionCash account on the same computer or internet connection as your referrer, referral, or any other FusionCash user. Violation of this term may be considered grounds for disqualification of any and all users involved.

You can log into FC using another computer as long as no one else is currently or will ever be using that IP address to log in or sign up for FusionCash. You can not log in using a public IP address such as at a hotel or library. There is some really good information all ready out there about logging into FusionCash while traveling or while you are away from your home computer. When I was planning a vacation, I had some questions about logging in while traveling I am including a link to the thread below, Kohler even commented in this thread saying what I just said above. So check that out. Also, Oldbuddy gives a great suggestion in the thread (as usual)!

Check out the thread here: http://www.fusioncash.net/forum.php?topic=13550.msg158952;topicseen#msg158952

I have myself over the last year I have been with FC have logged into FC on two different computers which were both "my own" but always on the same network IP address.  Its not uncommon that a person would own two computers or more in their households all on the same network.  I personally have never run into trouble doing so.  But according to the TOS I have not ever broken a rule as both computers are indeed mine and not shared nor on a public internet connection.  With laptops becoming more and more popular these days I am fairly sure this happens a lot where FC users have more than one computer they access FC from on their own connection.
