Job Hunting
« on: August 22, 2010, 11:48:19 am »
I've been looking for additional employment for quite awhile. I've hit the wall, more than a few times but I haven't given up...we really need the extra money. Here's the deal. The economy is bad...unemployment numbers are up, so let's just face facts, there aren't a lot of openings for an almost 50yr old unpublished  poet!
So do I press on, or accept my fate?

I have been job hunting for the last 3 months, looking everyday.  I am worried that I wont find a job before unemployment runs out.  I guess if it comes to that I might be moving home at the age of 48.  I am praying it doesn't come to that.  There seems to be plenty of jobs if you have lots of experience, a degree and are bilingual.  I dont fall into any of those catagories.  Not going to give up!

If I were you I'd seriously consider starting my own business.  In the mean time have you sign up for any temp agencies?
