What if you ran into an old "friend" what would you do...

I ran into an old "friend" from 10 years ago-i'm happily married with 4 children but man all these old feelings came out-nuts isn't it!

I agree, think of all the reasons why you broke up or the relationship ended before you start thinking about all of those feelings you used to have.  Chances are you're remembering the good times but not the bad :-)  I have it happen too.

I think it's always just that way with anyone that you have "KNOWN" in the past.  You have shared something very special with that person before, and did have some good times, so it's normal to blast back to the past!! It just means you are a human being-doesn't mean you are going to leave the present and go backwards.

I guess how you decide to percieve those feelings are up to the individual!!!!

I think it's great to remember all those old feelings and think about how much fun you had.  Don't allow it to ruin anything that you have today, though!  Absence makes the heart grow fonder, they say.  Once you start getting to know that person again, I bet you'd end up remembering all the reasons you stopped being friends in the first place

I was contacted by an old flame on facebook and we chatted for a while.  It was nice to hear from him and all n I got those butterflies in my stomach.  But when he mentioned he would be in town and wanted to meet with me I refused.  Only because I am in a wonderful relationship and do not want to compromise that for a "WHAT IF" just figured it wasn't worth it.

Good for you for refusing!!!  Don't forget that there was a reason you broke it off in the first place!

This is why I avoid old friends~!  I am so happy with my husband! He is the best thing that ever happened to me.  Everything before him was major puppy love.  With him, it is the real thing!  Love ya baby!!!

I don't know, I'm good with my man.  All my exes are exes for a reason.  I'm not sure how many good feelings I would have if I ran into any of them.  I might not necessarily have bad feelings but not "let's go tango" feelings either.

I mean... you obviously are gonna get those old feelings back... but think about what you have right now... you have a family.
just because you had something before doesn't mean you still have that "thing" you had or you'll get that back.
You don't want this one encounter to ruin your whole family, right?

I so know what you mean.  It feels good to feel those old feelings again, but then you have to step back take a look at the big picture and remember why that person isnt in you life anymore.  Is the person in your past really worth giving up your present and having in your future?  Most of the time, no they're not.  But it's always nice to have those memories.
