I am such a dork
« on: July 06, 2010, 10:36:58 pm »
The complete series of Daria came out on dvd a few weeks back, and I have been watching it non-stop (of course, in between my daughter's disney cartoons) since then.

Did you watch Daria?  Do you have a favorite character?  Favorite episode?  Character you identify with the most?  Any comments?

I LOVE DARIA! lol. I actaully can relate to her a lot and they simply don't make cartoons (or any show like that for that matter) like that anymore and they need to.

Me, too, although there are times I can identify with *gasp* Quinn.  She dumbs herself down in order to fit in, and I have done that from time to time.

I am thoroughly enjoying the dvd's, except for the music changes.  The major one is "Everybody Hurts" by REM.  I figured if they could get away with it on Family Guy that they should have been able to leave it on the Daria episode.  Oh well.

I used to watch Daria, especially since she was so much like me. Lol I'm a little more outgoing now but the sarcasm and 'leave me alone' attitude is still there.

I used to watch Daria, but I was never a regular viewer. Still I could identify with her. I also liked Beevis and Butthead... I think I was sort of a mix between the two; head-banging rocker in a geeky, introvert body.  :P

My favorite was Daria. Also Jane's brother, I thought he was so cool and cute for a cartoon character. Just until I saw who did his voice... :-[

I loved My So Called Life.  I also enjoyed Freaks and Geeks.

And I agree with the comment about loving Jane's brother until I saw the guy that did his voice. It does something to the cartoon when you see that.  Like finding out a woman does Bart Simpson's voice, LOL.
