Getting old and feeling non-techie

I'm only 47 but I feel like in the last two years since my accident I've been passed by all the new tech stuff, Facebook, Twitter, etc. Is it just that I was too out of it recouperating or are there other early forties peeps that feel the same?

I am 65.  I got my first computer 2 1/2 years ago.  And having the time of my life on it.  I got an IPhone last year and I hope to get an IPad  late summer or early fall.  It is never too late to become a sorta techie ...    You got time.  I recommend an Apple because you get great training from The Apple Store, if there is one near you.   But you have a computer.   You are on facebook and posting in the forum.   It seems that you re doing ok to me.   I love facebook and recommend it.  It's easy to learn .....    I do not care for Twitter.

The young people too often take for granted all the technology because they broke their teeth on a keyboard. We in the older generation have been here to see it grow from infancy and I think as such we have a greater appreciation for the advances. I am also not fond of Twitter. I'm not interested in hearing about somebody's every movement and there is more than enough advertisement in every waking moment!

i'm nearly 24 and although i participate in social networking
(not drastically, but enough to keep up) i still feel as though
i'm gradually slipping behind the times!

my generation grew up with computers, and the generations
following that have grown up ON them. not being in the middle
of the tech race anymore is starting to weird me out a little...
i thought i knew everything, but i'll just have to face that facts
that i'll be saying "what the heck is THAT?" in a few years, when
some youngin' starts talking about an ipod-max-touch-360-GPS-
phone.

I believe that many time we allow our minds to over take us and being to get into the more of feeling old. Therefore, one thing that I have found that help out is to ensure that we are getting all of the vitamins that we need. Believe it or not vitamin can make a big difference in your life when you feel run not and out of the loop of things. Many times we blame it on age but face it 47 is not old but I believe you are feeling old. Until I started making sure that I was getting all the vitamins that I need on a regular basis try it. There is an online guide to assist you in getting back to feeling like a teenager again. I feel so much better I would not want to feel like that again.

You all are GREAT!! I loved hearing from you, especially Ms. 24 years old and already knows what age has in store... Stay young at heart darlin, I think that's what we who grew up in the 60s and 70s forgot to do... too caught up in too many wars and too many sci-fi technologies come to life in front of us. Age has absolutely NOTHING to do with it, I'll be 72 in a month and I do just fine.

I also fall into that categories that you all mention and I have extended and embraced those changes. I would like to say what is nice about Twitter is that you only get updates from people you choose to follow and have their "tweets" posted. I like you do not wish to know about every single move somebody makes and when it gets ridiculous, I turn them off! When I post stuff on Twitter, they are thoughts that I have had that are useful to not only me, but to those that choose to follow me. Try it out. If you don't like it, you can close your account at anytime.

if you want to blend in with that techie society ill go with apple

since apple is user friendly and it has the best techs on mp3s and such out there. i may be wrong about it but apple is user friendly

im a pc but i like apple as well ^^
