When We Were Young I Remember

when I was younger, I remember being in the same situations that I see my daughter getting into now when I was her age,(she just turned 2 on saturday!!) and its really interesting and freaky at the same time! Its almost like watching your own childhood unfold all over again when you have your own child!  My mom  definitely had a time with me and my hyper-active booty!!!! The only difference now is that its so fascinating to watch our child grow up, and those "situations" that my mom warned me about are FUNNY as HELL to watch now!!!!! I'm always like: "I did that, mom???" , and then I start laugh hysterically at my daughter and her antics!!  Moms Rock tha House!!!!

When we were young I remember looking up in the sky on Christmas Eve looking for that sleigh with the reindeer with the red light on his nose. Never did see it. My big brother claimed he saw it. Very stupid then, . I don't tell my children that.

I remember when top 40 music on the radio actually had a tune, was memorable, and easy to listen and dance to (remember the Beach Boys, Murmaids, Shelley Fabares, all the Doo-Wop groups, the Shirelles, the Ronettes, Perez Prado, Percy Faith, the Ventures and the like!). Also, the top 40 was on the AM radio dial, the radio had tubes in it and required 5 minutes to warm up. The only kind of TV was black and white, had tubes in it, and required 5 minutes to warm up. The programs were fairly safe to watch, and you did not hear a single swear word! All the kids went outside to play, rode their bikes and roller-skated for hours on the sidewalks in the neighborhood, as well as using their imaginations and playing fun games like Cowboys and Indians.  Those were the gold old days of the 1950s and 1960s! Woo Hoo!

Always had a pair of pliers to change channels  and the kids were the remote control  and if  you rifled thru the 3 channels you got yelled at

I was so geeked up cause my mom bought me a nintendo and that was hot.I loved watching it's a different world. I loved listening to Soul for Real and Immature was my favorite boy group.

My first cell phone wasn't in color it was like this black text with this grayish green background. And it was huge, if wielded correctly it could probably do some real damage.
And the closest thing to a social networking site was playing with the kids in my neighborhood.
