Topic: Percussionists post here, say coolest all percusion piece you've ever played!!!  (Read 985 times)

I have been playing for four years, and machine is the coolest piece I've ever played (with the magnificent seven coming in a close second). Also, post what instrument you played on said piece. Machine=marching snare, magnificent seven = tenors.   :D

coolest thing I've ever done as a percussionist was create an accompaniment for a tapper, then performed the piece together as a challenge funk tap piece in call and response style  :thumbsup:

I have played many strange things over the years. I've had to play an anvil, break drum, many gongs, vibraslaps, flexatones, ratchets, castanets, two big wooden sticks, sleigh bells, all of that stuff but the funnest (if that's a word) thing I ever got to play was this big mockup of a cannon that produced a simulated cannon blast complete with sound, a big red light on the front of it and a fog machine that blasted fog out the barrel. 1812 Overture
