Business Travel....
« on: April 01, 2010, 05:33:44 pm »
in two weeks I am going to las Vegas for a conference for work.  There are nearly 3000 people going to the conference from around the country (we all work for the same agency) and I'm stressing.  I have a 2 year old that will be left home with daddy and I have to travel far and it's not going to be cheap.

Anyone frequently travel ??? any words of wisdom?

Well there is one good thing about going to Vegas, you will eat like royalty for very cheap - but try to have fun otherwise and watch your spending on gambling.  Have Fun!

The air is extremely dry there and will take a toll on your lungs and body if you're originally from a humid/normal place. Best advice would be to steam up the hotel bathroom each night you're there and breathe in some of the moisturized air for a few minutes before going to bed. It'll get your body back into it's comfort zone and you won't cough so much.

What exactly are you stressing about?  Sounds like a vacation to me.  Have you ever been to Vegas?

I have been there twice before -- got married there.

In regards to the other messages above:
1) food is NOT cheap in Vegas -- at least I don't think it is
2) NOT a vacation --> definately a business trip.... the day will begin at 7 am and go until 6 pm with meetings
