Why are we not allowed to send personal messages??? If someone ok's us us their buddy, what would be the harm?

most rules get made because something happened along the way to put them inforce. It could be that, or that people could talk back and forth about sponsers, etc. just a couple of idea's.  I'm not runnen the show.

 Anyone know how that "buddy" thing works?  (If someone ok's
 us as their "buddy"....then what?)  I'm just curious what it would be for when sending personal messages aren't allowed.  I would imagine it would be ok to let that person know to find you on FaceBook or something and then personal messages would be ok?  Anyone know??

Of course you can add people and talk to them anywhere else  I think I'll do a search to see if there is a post already for Facebook links!

You never know what anyone is capable of anymore. Its not a safe world no more. And sometime you can get the wrong buddy and they can send you a virus. I really only accept talking to someone if I know them really well.

It's quite obvious of the many things that can go wrong with member sending each other messages. The list is quite long so I won't even bother going into it. You figure that something must have gone wrong for the rule to be in place. There are plenty of other ways of connecting with people.
We're constantly posting here and there so if there is something to be said to a member, that should be quite easy...
