I haven't gone out on New Years Eve for about five years now.  I got sick of all the drunk idiots, the crowds, the overpricing and the drunk drivers.  Not to mention the ridiculous amount of cops on the road.  Now I buy a prime rib and some champagne and invite a few friends over and we eat like kings and queens and drink expensive champagne all night.  Then we play cards or watch a movie.  They usually spend the night in my guest room or on the couch.

We had planned to go to a party - friends get together and play trivial pursuit and other games for white elephant prizes.  Unfortunately, weather will keep us home tonight.....guess fondue, wine and a few good movies.  Happy New Year and Good Luck to all!
