Timing for credit on offers?
« on: November 29, 2009, 08:22:34 am »
So apparently there are delays now with receiving credit on some of the offers....

Can we be given an indication of which ones just take a while but DO pay so that we don't keep trying to re-do the offer or get discouraged that we are wasting time?
The delay is fine if I know the credit for my time with that offer will be coming eventually, but without knowing this I don't know if I am doing something wrong and won't get credited at all.  I have cleared browsers etc following advice in other posts...
it would be nice to know if it is just a delay or not gonna happen....

I do worry about this myself. Unfortunately, it has something to do with the offer's response to FC that is causing the delay, so it might be faster some days. It's all a simple, yet intricate system.

From how I have interpreted the Terms of Service, you're really only allowed to try an offer once.  If it credits, great.  If it doesn't, there isn't much you can do and it will happen from time to time.  As with any technology, there will sometimes be glitches, compatability issues, or just human error on the end of the person trying to complete the offer.  That's why it's so important to read exactly what you have to do to complete each specific offer and follow the myriad tips suggested by users in the forum for optimizing offer credits in general (accepting all cookies, cookie clearing before trying each offer, waiting before closing windows, etc).

But, per the ToS:

ii.Users may only complete an offer if they have never completed it previously, whether on this site or another.

How I have always interpreted that was, you complete an offer once and sit back and cross your fingers.  Should it not credit by 30 days (even for the ones which say 'instant'), you remove the offer from your page, shrug it off and move on to the other offers available and hope they will not do the same.

I always thought that just meant you can't do an offer again if you've done it and had it credit on here or another site. Obviously for signups and trials, even if it didn't credit you would not be able to repeat it, but I think for the Yes/No type offers you can try again. At least they let you try multiple times on other sites.

I do not understand sometimes I get paid right away, sometimes not at all. I know my cookies are enabled, cuz nothing changes on my computer, I just don't know why some slip by, it takes an aweful long time to take these, I do like this site, it gives me something to do, and I have stuck with it, after being let down, because the offer is something I really wanted, so I guess it comes down to, you have to have patience, know that some will not go through, and be happy for those that do.
