Yes all of the things you listed are good examples of things people say now but never did in the 80's.  Most kids didn't even have cell phones then and they do now.

The  one that use to get me on the computer  was "FATAL ERROR", we were all so new with computers that we thought we had ruined it.  LOL  And we had to have a 8 x8 room to keep the computer equipment in.

I'm taking a slight twist on the question as something people probably DID say in the 80's, but it meant a very different thing when said in the 80's than in the today's.
