Stuff
« on: October 27, 2021, 06:35:23 am »
The TRUTH is, that all of the “STUFF” here on earth we work SO hard to buy and accumulate..does NOT mean a thing. At the end of the day...people will be cleaning out our "STUFF", going thru our "STUFF", figuring out what to do with all of our "STUFF"....this "STUFF" we've accumulated in our life. The only thing of VALUE that remains are the MEMORIES and what we deposit into others. May we all learn to spend less time accumulating "STUFF" and spend way more time making MEMORIES.

That's why my husband and I are travelers. We have 1000's of photos of the memories we are making. We have been to 48 or 50 states (only Alaska and ND left) and it has been worth every penny. We don't have fancy clothes, a mansion, or the best cars; but we have had a lifetime of adventure.

Well, in and of itself, nothing has any meaning. It's people that find meaning in things. For me, it simply comes down to this; value is placed, meaning is found and purpose is created.

Sounds like a great adventure.

They are building a new storage place near my house.  There are about four already within less than a five mile radius.  I was thinking how people just have so much junk and they have to keep building places to put it. I just got rid of a bunch of household junk that had been on the porch and shed for years because we have yard sales.  Well no more, have it all to Goodwill.  I'm focused on necessities and not accumulating more junk and things that only collect dust.

I agree but one persons junk is another ones treasure . There will always a purpose for some peoples stuff here and there not all but some. I don't accumulate much dont see a need to but the stuff i do i could see people selling

I wish that I can get rid of all my stuff right now. Since I’m such a packrat and I can’t seem to get rid of all of my stuff!

As I turn older, I definitely begin to appreciate that experiences are more important than accumulating stuff. Our family loves to travel to places we haven't been.
