Yes, he was. I was completely taken aback by his passing. I never watched any of his movies, especially his earlier classics. But from what I learned from personal friends and family of mine who are Uber fans of his, he was a highly talented actor. Rest in Power, Sir Connery. :(

Great James Bond and I liked him with Nicholas Cage in the rock.

He was the best james bond imo. I always enjoyed his acting in the movies. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends

I definitely agree that he was the best Bond.  I can remember when the first Bond film was introduced.  I believe it was "Dr. No!"  At any rate, I was living in CA at the time and there was a lot of hoopla about it.  I remember going to the theatre and there were a lot of people and the entire block seemed lit up.  It was rather exciting for my 18 year old self and i though Sean Connery extremely handsome at the time!
