The Importance of Population Control

Family planning and slower population growth have a positive impact on nearly all 17 of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. Planet and population are reaching tipping points we must address.  Here are the goals, and as you read them, you will see about the importance as you think about the world in general:

1. No poverty
2. Zero hunger
3. Good health and well-being
4. Quality education
5. Gender equality
6. Clean water and sanitation
7. Affordable and clean energy
8. Decent work and economic growth
9. Industry, innovation, and infrastructure
10. Reduced inequalities
11. Sustainable cities and communities
12. Responsible consumption and production*
13. Climate action
14. Life below water
15. Life on land
16. Peace, justice, and strong institutions
17. Partnerships for the goals

There will always be poverty, poor education, hunger, poor industry and infrastructure and/or wages, and  what's that consumption and production mean? Rationing of food and what you are allowed to buy?  As for the others, they are good thoughts and that's all they are--thoughts and wishful thinking. Greed controls the world. Government already controls so many items on your list while lawmakers are above whatever law is made.

What scares me is how much this sounds like something out of a horror/sci-fi movie and more like total control of the people, what we eat, where we live, approval of which industries can operate, and using China's birth control to achieve your wish list.  That is not a free world.

Has anyone noticed how some people can take two words out of your post and just rip on you mercilessly without considering the context? Just pick out the words they don't like and then make some sort of religious statement that makes them feel better than everyone else. 

I think it would be nice if when you read posts, read them in their entirety and get the whole picture first. Then calmly state your own point of view, if different. Or heavenly days, perhaps agree with them if you agree with the whole post.

Why is there so much dissension, for dissension's sake, on this forum. It used to be quite fun to read remarks but it's become a battlefield of sorts for some. When did this become a forum for protests against someone's point of view rather than insightful conversations?

All i did was ask you explain balance out.Its like you are saying God intended man to die.

He didnt and i used the bible to back that up.I find it hard to believe you read it and dont have a clue.

The main theme of the bible is Gods kingdom that he has appointed his son Jesus as king to rule...NOT Trump or mankind!!To bring peace,security and life to ALL that will accept His rule and LOVE him and accept the ransom sacrifice Jesus made to for us NOT to die.

I remind you God warned A&E if they disobeyed they would die.If he wanted them to die,why even bother warning them?Its like it would have been his plan.But it WASNT!!!

You think hes sending Jesus to die an excruciating death as a ransom if Gods plan was for man to die??

So in summary to SIMPLIFY for you,God didnt create man to die so the earth would become over-populated as you said in "balance out".

Yes you are right.As long as Satan and man are in control there will always be misery.

Now ask yourself a question if you think a loving Creator exists.Is he responsible for this and if he isnt will he act and fix it?

The bible answers if UR interested and if NOT enjoy your 80/90 yrs and as the bible says,"Let us eat drink and be merry,for tomorrow we die.

The league of Nations,that became the UN after the WWs couldnt create world peace.

Cant be any clearer what God intended the human race to do when he created them.

Of course Satan and A&E threw a monkey wrench in it....but as the bible says his plan will still be fulfilled and i dont think God is too worried about over-population.
