Can't believe she still wants to stay on the supreme court.  I guess she loves that job or feel she is still needed. If I were her I'd retire and live her life in peace.   At her age she doesn't have that many years left.

She has probably been through more than a lot of other people and she has fought through it with dignity class.  You have to admire her.

I, for one, admire her greatly.  I wouldn't want to keep working at her age.  Kudos to her.

She won't retire prior to 2021 in the hopes that Joe Biden gets elected President and has the ability to nominate her replacement after he is inaugurated. Because she is a very liberal minded judge, she would not voluntarily leave the Court while a Republican is still President. She cannot control it if she dies, but she can control when she retires. Of course if Trump is re-elected, then she will likely try to stick it out to 2024 - but that is really pushing it given her age and health.

Just another reason why who you vote for to be President matters more than just who you want to be President.

She has stated she would like to go down in US History as the oldest Supreme Court Justice -- currently it is Oliver Wendell Holmes who made it as a SCOTUS Justice until he was 90... so she has at least 3 more years to try & ride it out.

What a fighter that woman is! To have gone through so much and to still keep fighting like crazy when the cancer returns AND to continue to sit on the Supreme Court while she is doing it is just a remarkable achievement.
