Advice on Mother's Day

She doesn't know how lucky she is to have a son.  My daughter had to spend this mother's day mourning the loss of her 4 year old son who passed away on Easter Sunday.  We are both mourning his loss.  It is about to kill me because I miss him so bad.  I had kept him while she worked since she went back to work after maternity leave.  I felt like he was my baby.

Situations like this are why you should not say Happy Mother's Day to people you do not know. To random women in public. Like customers and cashiers who say it to every woman they meet.

Situations like this are why you should not say Happy Mother's Day to people you do not know. To random women in public. Like customers and cashiers who say it to every woman they meet.

I believe saying Happy Mothers Day to strangers is people are trying to be nice, but with that said, you don’t know the persons situation.  Maybe they lost a child, No longer talk to their child, can’t have children, etc.  I have to agree with country girl perhaps people should not randomly say happy Mother’s Day if you don’t know the person, your words might be breaking the woman’s heart.

I have a family member who last week end lost her mother. The Saturday before Mother's Day. And there are issues with her only daughter and they are not speaking. So if a random stranger had said Happy Mother's Day to her she probably would have told them off.  You are also right about women who do not have children, for whatever reason, choice or they can't have them. That is a slap in the face and can be a hurtful comment.

I honestly am to the point I don't say anything on any holiday. People are too offended these days. And use it to try to get people in trouble. It has been years ago but I was working part time in retail and said Merry Christmas to someone and she turns around and goes off in a SCREAMING rage at me about how and I quote "Thank God, I don't celebrate Christmas" smh  Most people were able to contain the laughter until she had walked out the door.

To those that know Xmas is a pagan holiday....if someone says,merry xmas to them,the correct response back would be for them to calmly say "thank you"and if they take it any futhur to say calmly they dont celebrate it.And if it goes any furthur to explain why they dont using the bible truths to back up what they say.

The same principal can be applied to ALL the other pagan days.
