I would have to use four words to cover my principals (defined as the most substantial part of the money): Dividends, Interest and Capital Appreciation. If principal were to be used in the context of someone in a position of authority or high prominence I would only be able to name one: God-pretty much the only entity that I bow down to. I have a feeling that you made a common English usage error and meant "principles" which is a noun referring to a natural, moral, or legal rule. Principles are hard to define with one word answers as they are generally rules and I like 'do unto others', 'cleanliness is next to Godliness', 'I will not fail from lack of effort'. My three principles (if boiled down to one word answers would be love, respect, and discipline.
