Take your Doctors recommendations and mix them with your loving motherly instincts an you will probably be ok.

I do not believe the oh you do not have a fever so you are not contagious. That is total BS. If you are sick you are sick.  If you are sneezing, snotting, and coughing all over the place you are projecting germs.  The flu as well as the cold is airborne as well as can live on surfaces.

In other words if you are in public you have a good chance of getting sick.  If people in your household are sick then there is a good chance you will get it as well.  Are you sure you have a virus?  Or are you just sick?  Maybe it is just a bad cold.

Where do you live?  Scary thought but could you have been exposed to the coronovirus? You actually don't know because it IS every where and people are every where and you do not know where the people you come in to contact with have been.

I would take otc cold meds that match the symptoms you have and stay hydrated.  If you start having trouble breathing go to the ER.

I think Dr. use that it's a virus as an excuse not to prescribe antibiotics.  Just my opinion.  We had a doc that said that every time we took my granddaughter in.  Never got anything to help.  I finally sent my husband with my daughter and granddaughter.  Told him to convince the Dr. like he knows how.  (He had a way of speaking to people).  Long story short.  We got a script for an antibiotic.  Even tho the dr. said it was just a virus.  Low and behold my granddaughter was better in a few short days.

So it has trickled thru all three houses in the family with meds and constant vigilance of Lysol laundry and disinfectant everyone is better, except my husband who Dr says his is bronchitis and  emphysema flare up. But we should keep kids away from him because he is contagious even though there is no fever.

Well you cannot catch emphysema for sure and I am pretty sure you cannot catch bronchitis either.  So if he is contagious then he has something else going on.  Which would go back to you being correct in your first statement.  Although I do not agree with it.  Or at least not where I live.  If you go to the doctor for ANYTHING you will get at least 2 if not 3 shots and you will leave with at least one script for an antibiotic. And usually 2.  I swear the doctors must get a kick back on how many scripts they write.  I was sick a few weeks ago.  I stayed home.  I got better.  Took OTC stuff.  I figured if I went to the doctor I would just get something else if I sat in the waiting room 4-6 hours.  And yes, that is about how long people are having to wait.  smh

What I don't understand I know my husband is sick with COPD and emphysema but we took 4,5,7, and 9-year-old children who were throwing up diarrhea and they don't rate antibiotics he was only coughing didn't even have a fever but he came home with them and more, seems children should also be taken care of. WOW I`m loving this Grammarly
