Revolution for Cats
« on: February 09, 2020, 10:12:03 pm »
:cat:I have been treating my cat for over 6 months but I still see worms near his anus. I went to the Humane Society and one of the vets stated that he might have tapeworm or a worm that revolution doesn't kill. It's very frustrating to me as I care for my fur baby. :cat: There is a vaccine named FVRCP associated with an upper respiratory infection that cats can get.(airborne viruses)

I hope you can find a cure for your cats worms. I know how much my cats use to mean to me when I had them years ago. :cat: :cat: :cat:

What does your vet say?  I can't understand that there's no meds you can give her to get rid of them.  Good luck!

It can be so frustrating when the pesky worms are still left after the fleas are gone.  When I've applied a flea treatment on my cats, I follow up with a natural, holistic worm treatment.  I like the liquid drops that I add to their food.  They don't mind the treatment at all.

There are probably several brands available.  I would suggest doing a Google search to see what may work for you.  Hope this helps.   :)

Thanks for this information! I will look for more options for treatment.

Hello Nancy! I have been treating my cat with Revolution but may need to find other medications online. He's going to the vet on Friday. Thanks for responding!

I have had several cats over the years, but none have ever had worms, so I don't know any medication for worms.  Hopefully your vet can help out.

Revolution doesn't kill all worms. You need to have the vet identify which type of worm it is, and he/she will prescribe the correct medication.

Also I'm not sure what the fvrcp vaccine has to do with anything?

Hello! The humane Society said that it was a mandatory vaccine for cats, the FVRCP Vaccine. This vaccine prevents respiratory illnesses that cats are prone to. The woman also said the same as you as far as the type of worm it it is for it to be treated correctly. Thanks for your input.

My cats birth mom had heart worms, so i'm assuming my cat is just prone to worms. But I am going to take care of it on friday.
