Donate stuff to a thrift store.  All the best with your move.  Have a good weekend.

Maybe she doesn't want to give her stuff away.  I know I don't want to get rid of my stuff.

Mrsmere:You really have a massive job on your hands.  We never realize how much we have until we get ready to move.

You are so right and I love gardening.  i planted all these fruit trees and flowers and stuff.  Oh Gosh.  Going to have to leave them all behind.

I would take pictures of the stuff I planted.  Take pics inside and out.  The first house I purchased I planted a ton of stuff in the yard.  I ended up moving because the neighbors were horrible and done things to make me miserable.  It's okay because I moved to a house over twice the size as the first, have much more land, and a lot better neighborhood.  BUT I have a ton of pictures of the shrubs and bushes I planted.  You may want to go back and look at them sometime.

Country girl is so right.  I never thought to take pictures of my flowers and gardens when we moved.  I spent many many hours planting, watering, caring for them.  I wish I would have pictures to look at and remember.

Also if it is perennials and not something huge you can dig them up and take them with you.  I have a few that if I ever move I intend to take them with me.

It does get more difficult as we get older.  I dread the idea of moving again.  But downsizing is another headache.  I feel for you.  However, for me - it feels good to clear out the clutter.   ;)

It felt good to get rid of some of the clutter but it is exhausting and with so much stuff it is so much work.  Also, have to rehome the pets.  That is difficult.  Want to put them in good homes.  Time is shorter and shorter.  Called the realtor and asked him to give me more time.  Said he couldn't but he would try to find something for my budget which would be only about 550 after expenses are paid.  He told me to stay with a relative or friend till he could find something that I could afford.  Waiting lists are so long.

Donating many things to a place where people go that are homeless, including some plants.  I don't want to have too much stuff in storage because I don't know how long I will be there and it is going to cost more to store the stuff then to buy new stuff if I have to keep the storage for very long.
