No - I've been disappointed in a friend, but never because of a scam of fraud.

Have you ever met someone who pretends to be really your friend and they turn out to be scammers and commit fraud?

I had a friend for a long time who I wouldn't call an outright scammer but the type of guy always playing the victim, mostly only came out of the woodwork when he was looking for a handout otherwise he didn't have much time for me. As soon as I called him on it he blew up at me and we never talked again. I guess I was of no further use, lol

Sounds like the shoe fit when he tried it on.

I thought I couldn't do anything about this.  My daughter's exboyfriend, she had given a one time authorization to purchase cell phones for him and her and he took advantage and charged up other things on her Verizon and T-mobile accounts then ditched her, keeping everything.  I got online to FTC.com and reported this fraud, then they give you a whole list of things to do to correct the identity theft.

No not a friend WORSE my sister - and really my brother as well.  Very sad situation but I am ok with it now.  You can't make people be right.......friends or family.
I hear you.  There are relatives of mine who, over the years have proven to the rest of the family that they are back stabbing, lying and as my Mother would call them; parasites.

Some have since passed away and the others, I have nothing to do with.

I've also had acquaintances and former room mates and band members who also have proven to me that they are very unworthy of my time and energy.

As i got older bet i couldnt agree more with you.Its certainly a sign of the times. As Jesus said you will become objects of hatred cos of me.

I have my own skeletons i need to deal with but 1 the scripture in Acts 16 has helped me recently. Its when the apostles stand up to obey God as ruler rather then men and even tho their lives are sparred they are flogged. And after they rejoice for suffering for the unjust punishment.

I need to meditate more on that.

Typo...sparred should be spared.

Scammers are quite busy when you sleep.  There is nothing that they will not due to destroy people. Just last week, I saw that the FBI had arrested quite a lot of scammers, who were probably living next door  to you.  I get at least 20 robo calls per day and being bothered by the same number over and over.
