I tried not to anticipate as much as I can, as long as I've lived, anticipation has lead to more disappointments then actual surprise/happiness.


I have learned to try and not anticipate something too much also.  And that means not to anticipate something too much either negatively or positively!  Nonetheless, I find I tend to have a difficult time with anticipating the negative effects of something.  I can tend to perseverate when I dread something!

I guess it happens a bit but I always try to go with the flow and not get overly excited about things.
