Don't let age stop you!  Knowing when to stop is priceless, not a product of age!!

We all have our down times.  It sounds like you have a lot on your plate.  Get some professional help or get with friends who can help lift you out of your funk.

Finally something to motivate us to finally get that pic!!!

June 21st is National Selfie Day. Of course, many people celebrate selfies all day, every day, multiple times a day. And that's cool! We love it!

So, why not possibly garner some points for that selfie?

Click through to our quiz and upload a photo file. You might win! Search online for sweep

Horse Sense

An out-of-towner drove his car into a ditch in a desolated area. Luckily, a local farmer came to help with his big strong horse named Buddy.
He hitched Buddy up to the car and yelled, "Pull, Nellie, pull!" Buddy didn't move.
Then the farmer hollered, "Pull, Buster, pull!" Buddy didn't respond.
Once more the farmer commanded, "Pull, Coco, pull!" Nothing.
Then the farmer nonchalantly said, "Pull, Buddy, pull!" And the horse easily dragged the car out of the ditch.
The motorist was most appreciative and very curious. He asked the farmer why he called his horse by the wrong name three times.
The farmer said, "Oh, Buddy is blind, and if he thought he was the only one pulling, he wouldn't even try!"

I often feel the same way.  Since my horses are gone, I feel like there is no reason to get up and do anything anymore.  Kids are gone.  Grandkids are far away, except for right now.  I have one that is staying through the next school year as her mom's unit was mobilized.  But, when they aren't here, I feel the same way.  Hard to have any motivation to do anything.  I *could* clean the house but I hate cleaning and why?  Nobody ever comes over and sees it so what's the point?  Yup.  I know how you feel.

Motivation is hard when you're already tired. Just try not to worry about not being motivated we can't always be on top of the world everyday.

Well on the topic of motivation I seem to have none.  I just have no inspiration to do much besides try and earn a little extra money online and sleep.  I have o jump start myself someway but I am 65 and disabled and alone 98% of he time and it just seems like I have no reason.  What a waste though and so I am going to try and straighten myself out. Do you ever feel like this?

Never give up on you.  Learn how to motivate yourself in the smallest ways.  You maybe disabled, but you can still use your mind.  Start with the small things to get joy out of it.  I learned years ago not to really depend on others for
everything

you can still think.  I learned years ago not to depend on people-you will be let down-they will let you down every time.

To the OP I can definitely relate to how you feel. I too am disabled and spend much time by myself which can be a bit depressing at times. I try to invest in regular self care and positive thinking to keep myself feeling good and healthy. I like to read books (Biographies are my favorite), listen to music, and watch sports. I recommend you also try some therapeutic sessions if your insurance will allow for those. They might also be helpful for your mood and motivation.

Helping the homeless always motives me.  I feel I'm making a difference and also realize I could be in that same situation.  Find something that makes you feel useful and also get some laughs in.   Try to do a good deed and also have positive thoughts because it could always be worse.

;DI always seem to be motivated at the wrong times.  For example I find myself wanting to garden in the winter more than in the spring and summer.  I live in a cold climate winter isn't the time to garden here.  I clean house late at nights.  then spend my days tired and wanting to sleep.
