My dad was diagnosed with acute myelogenous leukemia in April of this year and he currently is in the second treatment of chemotherapy. From what I have been able to find about it, it is incurable, and the chemotherapy treatment, and bone marrow transplant can only put it into remission. But from what my stepmother has told me she is under the impression from the doctors that once he has the transplant if all goes well he will be cured. Does anyone have any knowledge about this either professional or personal?
