Are you buying a new car as a christmas gift for yourself  or someone else?

I wish!  Hopefully, I will be trading in one of my cars for a new one in March.  I like not having payments though, so I've been putting it off... but it is time.

Last new vehicle (truck) was 2005...still have it but will never buy new again....depreciation suxs...between what I paid for it and repairs through the years got about $30,000 in it.
Try to sell it now be lucky to get $7,000 for it, and that's just because I've taken super care of it, have every receipt for work done and still has only 69,000 miles on it.

Ever buy anything again it will be certified used...

I wish I was getting a new car for Christmas.  I can't afford one right now because I have so many medical bills to pay for.  Hopefully within a year I can trade my car in.

I will never buy a new  car again, the 2 times I did within the first 3- thousand miles  something  went wrong. First car the timing belt in the new Honda. Thank heaves we were within 200 miles of home. It had to be  towed all the way with a motel stay and meals with it as it was at night when it happened. And no dealer anywhere . Had to go all the way back to where I bought it. Took them 6 months to get it ready for me. I refuse to have them  just put a new timing belt in. I wanted a whole new motor and I got it. The  second was a new dodge and I drove it home  to see the family 197 miles one way and on the way back home it caught fire.  There it again it was  towed in.  I asked for the deposit back and bout a used ford that ran for 4 years before I  traded it for another. Nope  never a new one again.

I wish! If we could afford it, I would love another Kia Soul.

No, trying to keep my current one in good working order for as long as I can, I do not want a car payment.

No, we have never bought a new car as a holiday gift.  Our suv is 10 years old and our tow car is 5.  We are meticulous about maintaining them inside and out and hopefully they will last us many more years!
