I had an interesting illusion shown to me today involving a window. Even after the trick was explained and demonstrated my mind still sees the illusion of a oscillating window.
What do you see?
An Explanation Of The Mind-Blowing Ames Illusion, Which Fools You Even When You Know What's Going On
Invented back in 1951 by Adalbert Ames, the Ames illusion uses a trapezoid to fool our brains into thinking it's seeing an oscillating window. And it is scarily convincing.
