Today is National Red Wine Day!

I WINE! I drink mostly reds (Cab, Merlot, Malbec), but I like white in the summer. I've never actually had a rosé.

I have a glass of red nearly every night. It's the only thing that helps me sleep. I read once that there is melatonin in wine, which is why it makes you sleepy. But now they are saying there's not enough to have a noticable effect, so it's probably just the alcohol that makes you sleepy. However, red wine helps me to sleep well, whereas other types of alcohol like beer or hard liquor causes me to wake up in the middle of the night with a racy heart. So there must be something different about wine, at least for me.

I am not a huge wine drinker but I will have a glass every now and then.

I enjoy wines and being educated about them.  I usually favor the red wines (thinking Cabs), but the more I read on the subject or experience in a tasting, the more broadly my taste for other wines grows.  Happy Red Wine Day!🍷

I drink Moscato most of the time.  I like some reds ok but they give me a headache   I much prefer sweet over dry wine.
