The most pathetic part... there are so many... is that here is a 45-year old woman who immigrated to the United States like 10-years ago from the Congo, a nation that has horrible human right violations... if she wanted to save the world or how people are treated, or whatever, why didn't she use her protest power to bring attention to the horrors that are happening in the Congo... People truly in need of people speaking out.  To come to the US, a "safe" nation that has first world problems & take a stand here is disingenuous

My understanding she herself was an immigrant. We take her in, and she becomes a public nuisance.  She put the cops at risk, ruined the holiday for the families who wanted to see our iconic statue....just to get attention.

That did nothing whatsoever to help kids at the border, just made these protestors look stupid.

Trump did not do this. Bush/Obama did the mess up at the border.

Disgusting and stupid.

 :rose:

These protestors look stupid already lol

I saw this one the news yesterday.  They said something about she was protesting, but I'm not sure what.  This is real crazy

She was trying to hang a banner. Protesting ICE.  These people who think we should just open our boarders and let whomever wants come here are flippin stupid.

She wasn't trying to "hang a banner" and she wasn't protesting ICE.  She was protesting the children being separated from their parents.

That's your story.  The news story I read said "she was trying to hang a banner and she was protesting ICE".

And FYI there is a place where these idiots do not have to worry about being separated from their children.  It is called Mexico.  When you illegally sneak in to another country you are not a citizen of you deserve what ever happens to you up to and including being shot dead right there on the spot!

I watched it live as they caught her and brought her down, she did not have any banner with her or near her.  If she did the police would have confiscated it and brought it down.  So wherever you read that was incorrect.

AND....  I say whatever YOU read was incorrect.  I saw it in more than one place.  She most def was protesting against ICE. DO you even know what ICE means?  I am not talking about the frozen water you put in your drinks.

We are no longer a "safe nation" and we can't take in any more.  The US is WAY over crowded and more and more are not working and expect the government aka the tax payers to support them.  Esp the ones who sneak across the border.  You born and raised here in the US and you want a food stamp card? Just go the the DHS office and fill out the paper work and say you are an illegal migrant worker and you get instant card that day.

Does it make you feel superior to personally insult people that disagree with you?
Done with this discussion because you seem incapable of having an adult conversation, it appears you only want to express hate.

Let her there! Close the doors and she will ask for help after a while.

LOL.  YOU are doing the same thing that you accuse me of.  YOU say what YOU heard is right so I have to be wrong. You are just mad because you don't agree with me.  Fact is none of us were there and none of us know exactly what happened.  The news sources are known for not telling the truth.

And FYI I am not expressing hate.  I am simply stating what I heard and you said I was wrong and you was right.  Well no, I say I am right and you are wrong.  So you are doing the exact same thing you accuse me of.

She and the other idiots are protesting and wanting to abolish ICE.  You know, the people who ENFORCE the CUSTOMS laws.  We are an established country with laws stating how you come in to this country.  You illegally cross the mexico boarder and you will end up in jail and your life will not be easy.  We need to do the same thing to them they would do to us.

Let her there! Close the doors and she will ask for help after a while.

Why would you do that? Why would you close a public place that people want to visit and say no one can go there and let some idiot stop every one else's fun? And why should any one "help" her.  If you are so stupid as to climb the side of the Statue of Liberty I say leave them there til they fall in the water. Swim or drown.

Closing the doors and letting her sit there til she "asks for help" is insane.  Besides the fact that if the idiot falls off and gets hurt she is going to sue because there should have been more done to keep her from being stupid. Or if she fell and died then her family would sue.

Congo isn't the only country that has really bad human life problems, people in Africa, Mexico to name a few, if you want to move to a place with better opportunities, then that's your prerogative, but the United States has problems too. We have people living on the streets, abandoned homes, and outside in the woods, the Statue of Liberty means freedom, justice, the pursuit of happiness, we have the right to go or do anything we want, live where we want.

She was protesting the conditions of the children being held.   I agree, it was not the smartest way to protest but really "she should be shot" as someone else said is ridiculous.

lol no it is exactly what needs to happen.  It would stop this nonsense.  It's funny because it is the previous president who is the one who had the kids in cages. N

This has been proven to be a lie:

If you think this woman should have been shot, what about the ranchers who took over the Bundy refuge? They had actual weapons. By your logic, they should be shot, too.

I saw something about this on the news as well, but not enough to know what her situation was.  She must have a problem of some sort! :o
