Oh, happy days. Laptop in shop.

I broke down and took it to the shop. Got a call last night. Hard drive was almost gone! He's charging me almost $200 for a new one plus the time he put into trying to rescue the stuff on the bad one. I really can't afford that but I need it because I can't do most of the stuff on my desktop because I think the desktop is dying and I didn't know which one to get fixed.

So, just when I thought I'd had a little more backup $$ to keep me solvent, I can say bye-bye to it. i've been working on paying off my CC but dang, that's what I have to use for the ransom.    

Just venting.  I knew this was going to be a bad year. It's an "even" year and we only have bad luck in even years.

Mine needs to go in too but then I won’t be able to do everything for FC because my only back up is a phone or tablet. We don’t have a desktop or second lap top

Sorry to hear that last year my desktop broke down and I had to pay almost 300 to get it back to working order. I hope your laptop fixes fast so you can get on with your life.
