The Columbia Pictures Logo
« on: April 07, 2018, 11:36:38 pm »
Do you suppose the lady who held a torch in Columbia Pictures logos was based on the Statue of Liberty? I seriously think so because the lady in the logos was called “Lady Liberty,” and the intention of the logo was to create it from someone’s posing as the Statue of Liberty.

Sorry - I'm not exactly sure what you're referencing, but it sounds like you answered your own question.

Okay. I admit I answered my own question. I just wanted to find out if I was right (or possibly wrong).

I would think so since I see that all the time when I watch movies produced by this company.

IDK.... but I know she used to be "fuller"  ie Fatter... but they re-branded her as much thinner....   now they'll probably re-re-brand her back to being even "fuller".... because of the focus on not fat shamming and the ever increasing size of people in general.

in that case they would have had to get permission to prevent copyright infringement
