mental health awareness
« on: March 07, 2018, 10:48:35 am »
This week and last week were Mental Health Awareness weeks.  I lost my daughter to suicide on May 6th of 2017 at 28.  She had severe depression and was receiving treatment.  But than she went to jail on stupid charges and hung herself from the bars.

If you or anyone you know has serious depression or thoughts of suicide, please get help do not wait until it is too late.  Think of your loved ones that you will be leaving behind.  Most problems are temporary but suicide is permanent.
I wish I could have stopped my daughter from doing it but she lived in different state and of course jail did not get her the help she needed.  She was under suicide watch too.  There 10 suicides last year in the same county jail.

We need to end this, we need to find a better of treating people with mental health issues.

God Bless Everyone!

I'm sorry about your girl.  My best friend lost her son to suicide too.  I've never seen anything like it...she was totally destroyed and didn't care about living on. The guilt she had was unbearable.  She made it through, but still 15 years later the regret and tears are very close to the surface.  I pray that you will find peace and thank you for putting the word out on mental illness.  God bless you.
