Because a long time ago, people were all speaking the same language and were trying to build a tower to heaven, The Lord changed all their languages, so then they were just babbling, hence, the tower of Babel.

Variety.  It is just for variety, why not?  How boring would this word be if we all spoke the same language, were the same color and had the same body type.  It would just be sooooo boring.  Also the tower of babel is true. but not everyone believes in the bible, so mine kinda works too

Because different people in different parts of the world find different ways to meet their needs.  Different cultures have different foods, recipes, clothing styles, music etc. so language is no different.

Well, I really dont have an answer to that, but I would like to continue that question because I'm sure if you went on it would have been why dont we just pick one language?  Then you have to wonder which is the most popular language - most people would say English, but its actually Mandarin.  English is 2nd, Hindustani is 3rd, Spanish is 4th, Russian 5th, and if you go by numbers the amount of people who speak Mandarin is over 1 billion, English speakers are half that amount at 507 million.  The remaining top 10 language have origins in the Middle East and Asia, except for French.  The importance of being bilingual is going to be massive over the upcoming decades I feel and the language standings may change, but for whatever reason we have a lot of different languages spoken in the world.  I think its beautiful.

It attracted to post here!!!   ----- It should be because take a baby... it has itz own language to communicate slowly it learns the people around him/her's way of communication...... like if u stay in a place where people talk different language you usually start understanding that language and start talking....... so, the "where you live" matters, different people had their own way of communication, people around them started communicating in that way and now we in 21st century follow the same thing ........
