Cell Phone Users
« on: September 24, 2009, 06:17:08 pm »
:)  I remember when it used to be phone booths on every corner in the city. You had to make sure you kept change on you so that you could make that 10 cents call. My first phone was a very large and heavy Motorola that I had to walk out in front of my house in Virginia to get a good phone signal. It seems like people do not visit each other as much since the cell phone has become a part of our lives. What do you think???

I agree but it is kinda nice and kinda a draw back. It is nice being able to use your phone whenever. and text is one of the greatest things if you need to say a quick something quickly. But it is also bad people expect to get ahold of you all the time even when your not much up to talking on the phone or text. it is bad cause if you loose or break it and you don't have a landline you have no phone. It is great cause you can get rid of a landline and save some money for a phone that goes with you. it has pros and cons but i think it has changed and has been helpful.

I have had my cell phone for 12 years now and I am still not a huge fan of the phone I prefer to talk to someone in person whenever I can.

I think they are both good and bad. they certainly make emercency communication easier, which is a very good thing. However, many people use them for mundane chit-chat when they should be paying attention to other things like driving or watching where they are going.
