One thing I love about my hometown
« on: July 11, 2017, 10:46:22 pm »
When I lived near the Great Salt Lake I experienced an overwhelming problem with mosquito bites.

I now live in Cedar City, Utah and my hometown is a 5 hour drive from the Great Salt Lake.  I've been living here for 15 years and I've never seen mosquitoes, so.....

One thing I love about my hometown is the absence of those annoying little critters.

Where do you live?

What is one thing you like, love or appreciate about your hometown?

Have a great day!

No Mosquitoes ...  that's awesome .. I should make your home town my new home  town.  I am like a buffet to mosquitoes.  They bypass the hubby and head straight for me.

My hometown is in North Carolina close to the Virginia line on the eastern side.  My daughter lives in the sandhills  I stay at her house to keep her toddler.  The mosquitoes are bad and also knats.

I don't think I have ever lived where they did not bite me. They will zip right by hubby and bite me.  I get so tired of  having  big  knots where they have bit me and they itch awful.  I try to spray down  a lot and the bottle says it will last 8 hours, well that is bull. When you sweat  it goes away. I even spray my clothes and it helps. But right now I mostly just have to stay in the house .But like  when I go out to hoe weeds I will wear a long sleeve shirt jeans, heavy socks a hat and a ton of spray and they still find a spot.  We have to do it very early in the mornings  or it gets too hot. And they is when they are the worse.

I live in Richmond, VA--have since I was 5 or 6. I love it here. I'm sure that even if I traveled to many other places this would always remain one of my favorite cities. I love the diversity and creativity here. It's bursting with life.  :peace: :rainbow:

Some things I love about my hometown is that it's a short drive to beautiful beaches, boardwalks along the shore, shopping malls, and great entertainment venues.

One thing I love about my hometown is feeling safe walking down the street. It is easy to feel safe when you know most of the people in town.
