All chickens begin life inside of an egg. The theory of evolution would tell us that the first creature that could accurately be called a chicken was first an egg laid by something that was not quite a true chicken. Therefore, even though there was something very similar to a chicken before, the egg came first.

If you know your Bible that would not be a question.  The Chicken of course.

I think the egg. It's always strange to think of how things came to be created. It's kind of scary to think of in a way.

Where would the egg come from? Just grow out of the ground?  ;)
The chicken came first.

The question asks about a chicken and an egg, not a chicken and a chickens' egg. Dinosaurs were on this planet before chickens, and they were creatures which laid eggs. That means the egg came first.

So the chicken just appeared out of thin air? I don't like how people throw their religions at you as if believing something different means you're wrong.
